AJ Access reaches for the stars!

Captain America: The First Avenger

AJ Access Platforms have been helping with the filming of the new Captain America film. With 17 of our machines being hired to the film set. The film is action packed and stars a host of famous faces including; Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci and Samuel L Jackson.

Our machines have been on site since the beginning of October and were used in various capacities such as; being rigged with cameras for filming, or spot lights for the night scenes. One of our Genie S60’s had a starring role when it was used to remove the roof of a building for an explosion scene.

Shooting took place in the now derelict WWII military base and Royal Navy propellant factory, in Caerwent, South Wales. The ground works have been underway since September, with filming commencing in October. There have been 2 weeks of mainly night shoots, followed by 1 week of further work to undo all the changes they made to the site.

You will be able to see the results of all our machines (and the actors) hard work when the film hits UK screens in July 2011.
