Service and Maintenance

Due to our extensive knowledge & over 25 years experience in the industry, we are able to assist with everything from technical support to application guides, service manuals and health and safety bulletins.  Our strong relationships with the prominent manufacturers (Manitou, Genie, Holland Lift, SkyJack, Niftylift, UpRight (now Snorkel) & JLG) in the access industry means that we are able to fully support our customers in all areas, including; accessories and parts, six monthly LOLER inspections, training, routine service and maintenance through to major refurbishment. 

LOLER Inspections

The safety and welfare of workers is paramount so there are certain regulations that the access platform industry are governed by.  The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)  from the HSE include regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of workers using lifting equipment. Regulation 9c states that all Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP’s) must be thoroughly examined by a competent person at least every six months. Competent Assessed Person (CAP) is an independent assessment by IPAF to assure each engineer is competent to examine safely your machine

Service Maintenance Agreements

All AJ Access Platforms Service Engineers are CAP Certified by IPAF (International Powered Access Federation), and factory trained by the major manufacturers.   We operate nationwide with our own fully equipped service vans that are able to carry out thorough examinations on site to ensure your access platform is safe and within current legislation, whilst also ensuring minimal down time.  Once the service is complete you will receive a full report from our Engineer - we also retain copies of all reports on your customer file for your future reference.

By taking out a Service Maintenance Agreement (SMA) with us we will take the hassle out of maintaining your access platform by scheduling the inspection at a convenient time to ensure minimal disruption.

Access Platform Repairs

Along with supplying our customers with high quality new & used access equipment, we are able to support all access equipment owners with repairs and servicing to keep your platform working efficiently at all times.  Our experienced engineers are able to deal with anything from general wear and tear through to fault codes or break downs.  Many repairs can be carried out on site using our UK wide network of fully equipped service vans, which are, in turn, supported by our extensive workshop.
